Corgis are lovely little dogs. I know three personally. Two of them are Welsh Pembrokes and the other a Welsh Cardigan. Although the two breeds differ in appearance the personality and temperament seem to be the same. And they love to play!

I did a Christmas arts and craft fair last November. To add a bit of Christmas to my work I thought a couple of birds in the snow would be nice. It was fun because I hardly ever get a chance to draw or paint birds. This Blue Jay is one of the illustrations I created to put on a greeting card. The pinecones seemed pretty festive too I thought.
I had a lot of fun and plan do do more shows in the new year.

I’m pretty sure this is a White Tailed Deer. The caption for the photo was of a Brown Buck so I know he’s a male. His antlers captured my attention and I thought he would make a lovely subject for a portrait.
I’ve used Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran D’ache Lunimance and Derwent Lightfast and Coloursoft pencils to create this drawing. The surface is Fabriano Bristol + paper. This paper is great for coloured pencil, ink and watercolour pencil work.

I often use reference photos from free stock sites like Pexels and Pixabay. This picture of the boy and his dog captured my interest as the subject for my next drawing. I’ve used coloured pencil on smooth bristol. A drawing takes longer to complete than watercolour but I love working in both mediums.
